Second Death

Note: This was the first game I ever made in UE4. I’ve come a long way since Second Death was made. This is on my site to remind myself of how far I’ve come since then.

Over the course of four months, I have worked on concepting, set dressing, sound designing, script writing, level making, modeling, texturing, lighting, and coding for my first ever 3D game level. I also made the trailer and logo for the game. Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Bitmap2, Unreal Engine 4, UE4 Blueprint, Adobe Audition, Photoshop, and Premiere were all used in creating this experience.

Simulating a game design studio, sophomores worked to create modkit pieces and props for levels we would be designing. Each class pitched different concept – ours was the “General’s Mausoleum”, the others were “Voodoo Hut”, “Monkey Temple”, and “Night Market”. Surprisingly, a lot of the props made worked well in other levels, such as the skull, candles, greenery, and pots.

Trident and sarcophagus are my own as well as level design, lighting, programming, and set dressing. Voice acting was done by Jamie Green, Tom Pinto, and Alyssa Ragni.
